MATH 247

FUNDAMENTAL MATHEMATICS, Fall 1999

Math 247 emphasizes understanding of fundamental mathematical ideas, clarity of logical thought, and communication. In the context of interesting "brain teaser"-like problems, we develop the central concepts underlying undergraduate mathematics. Considerable practice in writing and expressing coherent arguments is given.
